My tour of the entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway ended at Shenandoah National Park in Virginia on July 12, 2007. Mom and I had time enough for just a day on Skyline Drive before she had to fly back home to Austin. But after only 30 miles of that gorgeous scenery, I decided I'd have to see its entire 105 miles before I left Virginia. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I
had never spent much time in this state before and I was suitably
impressed enough to happily stay here for a couple of months waiting
for peak leaf peeping time in October before heading back south.
If you have any tips to share about Virginia campgrounds, state
parks, activities, must-sees, etc., I sure would appreciate hearing
