Sunrise
from my site #16 during the week of October 8, 2006. I don't usually
get up this early, but was glad to witness this sight on this morning.

Before
I moved here from Area B, this site was the home of the high-tech
fisher I met at the boat ramp, Bill Schmidt. He and his wife
moved to SC about 2 years ago and this was the first time camping
at this park. They said they really loved being right on the water,
and the fishing and kayaking were great fun. This site was a little
tighter for me with my larger motorhome and I couldn't get my awning
out - no rooftop satellite TV signal here, either.

Here's
another great site in this area - #21, a pull-through with great
views of the water. Site #19, a back-in right before this one, is
another really nice long site with full lake view to the side.

When
I first moved to this area, I was in #11, one of the forest-side
sites. The sites on this side of the loop are more sloping, especially
at the front of the sites. But they're pretty long, so I could pull
all the way to the back of this one and leveled up OK. I was surprised
that even with the heavy tree cover, I was able to get a satellite
TV signal.

A
typical lake view from Area A. I saw egrets and blue heron skimming
the water here, turtles sunning on rocks, and many colorful birds
flitting through the trees - a great combination that made for a
quite enjoyable stay.
