I was a bit
surprised that there aren't more public campgrounds within this
national park, but below is info on the only one.

Gulpha
Gorge Campground
- 43 campsites located on Business 70 (Exit 2 from 70E). Each
site has a picnic table and grill, but no electric or water at the
site. No showers here, but drinking water, dump station, and restrooms
are in the area. Self registration via machine is $10/night as of
Sept., 2006. There is a nice large picnic area here, also. Go here
for site map of campground.

Gulpha
Gorge Trail - This is a really pretty trail at the end of
the campground that will take you to various lookouts along the
way and can get you to Dead Chief trail and the Grand Promenade
when it ends up in the downtown historic district by Bathhouse Row.

Here's
the trailhead at the beginning of Bathhouse Row downtown.

This
is the 3-1/2 mile road to the Hot
Springs Mountain Tower. It's a one-way road, but no vehicles
over 30 feet long are allowed due to sharp switchbacks. The tower
is 216' tall, affording spectacular views of the surrounding Ouachita
Mountains, Hot Springs, and the surrounding Diamond Lakes area.
To get here, turn off Central Avenue in downtown onto Fountain Street
and follow the signs to the Tower.
