& People's Choice!
Roy Hurst and his 2004 Harley Wide Glide. He designed and had this beauty painted in a dragon theme. He's from Hot Springs and this was his first show. He didn't start out lucky with this bike - 4 days after the first paint job was complete, some fool ran a red light which resulted in him needing another paint job - but worse, it snapped the knee he had just had replaced! Better times are to come, I'm sure - even though it didn't win this time, I betcha his luck will improve!
Neither last nor least - in fact, Mark Monroe won in the Domestic Custom over 1000cc class and the People's Choice Award (overall favorite). He said he's always been drawn to bikes from the 50's, so he bought a new 2001 Harley Heritage Springer and made it look that way. He added many nostalgic touches, like Fat Daddy Wheels and many other old timey details. This was my all around favorite at the show, too - congratulations Mark!
