When
I first took off in 2001, I knew I could support myself by stopping
in places I wanted to explore and take temp paralegal jobs.
While that has worked, commuting form sometimes remote campgrounds,
then sitting for 8 hours a day in a stuffy law office is not
my idea of fun. My daughter recently turned me on to the "Virtual
Assistant" workplace and I picked up a lawyer client from
her. Since then, I got two more, and as long as I have constant
internet access, it works great. Of course sometimes they all
want something "yesterday" but so far, I like this
way of making money, so will be putting forth more effort to
get more clients. Here's
a page that describes what I do as a virtual assistant.

My
initial dream was to support myself through my passion for writing.
And I absolutely loved designing and dealing with my websites. But
while my sites and articles were well received, they certainly weren't
well paid. I discovered that trying to make my living by doing what
I loved put so much stress on me that I started to lose the passion
and the love of the writing just for its sake. So I continue to
write about things that interest me, and still hope to have some
things published and paid for, but have removed the expectation
that it will support me totally. See Malia's
Articles for a list and links to what I've written.
If
you or someone you know could benefit from any of the products or
services listed below, I'd really appreciate your support and encouragement!

RV Check-List
|
|
After
over 5 years of fulltiming, I am often asked for tips
to help the newbie hit the road. I believe following a
checklist is an important part of the process. It's always
a good idea to review safety steps no matter how many
times you've performed them. I designed these lists to
be easy to use, broken down into four stages:
"I Want It" - The Pre-Delivery Inspection process
made easy.
"I Got It!" - Notifications to give, Inventory
to bring, Lists for insurance purposes.
"I'm Driving It!" - Getting in and out of campgrounds
safely - plus how to be a good neighbor.
"I Gotta Do What?" - Technical considerations
for hitching/unhitching and storage.
Check
it out here and you can download and print
what you need right now! |

Google
Ads - pays a few cents to me when people
click on links from my site. The more peeks, the more pennies.
It doesn't amount to much right now, but does pay for my site
costs. So if you see a Google ad for something that interests
you anywhere on my site, please do check it out. If you're interested
in placing Google ads on your site, click the button on the
left to get started. |

Affiliates
- I discovered this source of income
when I signed up for ClickBank
as a way to sell my RV
Checklist. This is a method where others can sell your products
on a commission basis. Other companies also pay a commission
through Commission
Junction when your site generates leads or sales to them.
So I went through a list of 1,962 advertisers to find ones I
knew well enough to recommend. What happens is when you click
on a link to them from my site and you buy something (or just
look) I get a commission for sending you their way. If you like
them, too, and end up buying from them because of my introduction,
then I make a commission. |

Good
Sam Club - This was the first club I
joined when I started researching going RVing. I've really enjoyed
the community, have learned a lot through the Open
Roads Forum, and the camping discounts are always welcome!
If you join through my link, I get a few bucks. |

Life Directory
- I've used both this and Woodall's directory and just prefer
the format of this one better. If you order from here, I get
a commission. |

Ebay
- I get a kick out of just looking to see what's for sale and
have found some bargains for myself this way as well as sold
a few things. So I signed up for their affiliate program. If
you join from my link, I get a commission based on how active
you are within 30 days of your registration. |

Verizon
Broadband
- I wrote an article here
about satellite internet choices. I used to use a tripod system,
but when I learned about this deal, it was so much easier and
for the same price. There may be some instances when satellite
can get a signal where this can't (out in the boonies for example)
but so far, so good. |

Donations
- It took me a while to decide to do this - I
thought it might look tacky to ask for money for something I
love to do anyway. But after I got such nice feedback
and comments from people - some even saying they wanted
to donate to my "cause" - I thought again and figured
I shouldn't turn my back on blessings that want to come my way.
If you find value in what I do, if it saves you some of the
time and trouble it took me to find it out and put it up, then
donate. If you choose not to, no problem. |
