Indian Mary Park is a beautiful Josephine County Park located on the Rogue River along a scenic stretch of the road that connects the little towns of Merlin and Galice. There are 91 campsites, 44 with full hookups, 12 with electric & water only, and 35 for tents only. Fishing, whitewater rafting and amazing sightseeing jaunts are all available within a very short distance of the park. Just the drive to the park is worth the trip!

A local friend told me this was her favorite campground and when I first visited it in June, 2005, a Vintage Airstream Club was having its rally. You can see pictures of that by clicking here.
The sites are all level and most are heavily shaded. This Airstream is in site 69 and shows the nice distance between sites. Click here for site map.
This is site 76 and looked like one with the best bet for getting satellite reception, if that is important to you.

This is site 91 (even though it says 27E, that's the old numbering system). This was my favorite section as it backs up to the Rogue River.

2005 Rates:
April 1 - Oct. 31:
Full hookups - $20
Elec./water - $18
Tent - $15
Yurt - $28
Nov. 1 - March 31:
Deduct $2.00 from each rate listed to the left.
Other fees:

Showers are metered (5-6 minutes) and are 25¢.

Not required, but can be made by calling the park at 541-474-5285. There is a $5.00 reservation fee.

Other: Dump station available to non-registered campers at a charge of $15.00.

I-5 exit 61 (Merlin-Galice road). It's about 10 miles from the exit to the entrance of the park.

Malia's 2 cents: I reget I never did manage a stay here, but all the people I talked to really enjoyed it and gave it rave reviews. It seemed like it would make a very nice home base for exploring this section of the wild and scenic Rogue River.
