| I
was happy to have the opportunity to stay at Prospect
RV Park while I continued my exploration of Crater Lake. It was
the perfect homebase and the best full service RV park in the area,
in my opinion. The sites are all spacious and surrounded by sweet-smelling
pine trees. Allen, a park resident, keeps the grounds beautifully
landscaped and blooming. |

|
| This
view looks across into the campsite that was my home while I camp-hosted
there for the month. |
|
|
| Looking
down the street, you can see how private and far apart the spaces
are. |
|
|
| Two of
my favorite park attractions were my fellow camp hosts, Mel and Pat
Tynan. I became fast and forever friends with this great couple of
fulltimers, enjoying themselves and the lifestyle. |
|
|
| The generous
campground owners, Jim & Pam Lee, always enjoy letting their guests
in on some of the lesser-known attractions of the area, such as this
beauty: "The Avenue of the Giant Boulders." |
|
|
| I was
happy to be there during the annual Bluegrass
Festival held each year on the second weekend in July. Prospect
RV Park hosts some of the musicians and they repay by jamming by the
massive group firepit - great fun and fine foot-stomping music! |
|
|
| I also
enjoyed this trio "Whistlestop" as they practiced a few
campsites down from me. Meet Gene and Barbara DeBarruel from Yreka,
CA and Pat Calhoun on bass. |
