After
the great Shakespeare Festival play I saw, I wanted to see another
Ashland theater venue and had heard good things about the Oregon
Cabaret Theatre. Timing was good because Forever Plaid was a show
I had seen good reviews on from its run in Austin, but I had missed
it there and was happy to have the chance to see it here. Check
out their website for current features. Their upcoming attractions
looked great.
Malia's
2 cents: The
theatre is housed in a beautifully restored 1911 Baptist church
which adds spice and an element of the "forbidden"
to the musicals presented here. Is it still sinful to dance
if you're Baptist? :-) Really, the stained glass windows and
chandelier adds an elegance to the whole environment that I
really enjoyed.
