My visit
to Yosemite National Park was in November, 2005. I was so happy to
be invited to stay on a friend's property just a few miles from the
entrance, so I had the perfect setup, but here is some info on other
parks I checked out while there. |

Sites
are terraced gravel, but seem to be nicely level

As
far as full service campgrounds go near the park, this seems like
it would be a good choice.

Only
5 miles from the west entrance to Yosemite, I think this would
have been my choice for the best homebase for exploring the

didn't get to check out any of the other campgrounds inside the park,
but here's a link
to the official park site for more info on them. I did drive through
Wawona Campground and it looked nice enough to me. Here's a link
to a site map of it. |
