I wanted
to be reasonably close to San Diego for a family visit, so I checked
out San Diego RV Resort, The Vacationer and Circle RV Park. When I
saw that those are situated right on I-8, I was concerned about going
a week without a good night's sleep due to all the noise. I was happy
to find Rancho
Los Coches RV Park - it's just a little over 20 miles from San
Diego, but off of the highway enough so there's no noise, but still
very convenient to everything in this beautiful area of California.

The
park is one of the cleanest and best landscaped I have ever visited.
The current owner has only had it for two years and plans to expand
some of the sites both in width and length, as well as add more
pull-through sites.

This
was my street during my stay in November, 2005. The sites are level
gravel with a paved pad and a picnic table at each site.

Nice
landscaping touches abound throughout the park with rose gardens,
orange trees and cactus gardens co-existing peaceably.

This
is a very restful place to sit with a beautiful stained glass window
inside and a fragrant rose garden outside. Several covered group
picnic tables are scattered throughout, also, making the grounds
a nice place to visit and explore.

An immaculate pool area and hot tub is another nice touch. Here
you can see the entrance to the clubhouse and to the side is a nice
patio area with a ping-pong table. Wi-fi is available to all sites
for a charge of $6.00/day or $15/week.

Malia's
2 cents: I visited
with quite a few of the friendly residents here and all were
lavish in their praise of the staff, the residents and facilities.
One couple who had fulltimed for 12 years said they had never
felt comfortable using RV park showers except this one. After
my own inspection, I could see why. Besides the beautiful, quiet
and restful surroundings, the entire grounds were sparkling
clean, including the pool and spa, an especially nice touch.
With a WalMart right across I-8 and Krispy Kreme donuts within
3 miles, what more could you ask for? |
